This antique classic light "champagne-toned" citrine bead necklace originally dates from the 1880s. Consisting of 33 finely-faceted, round citrine stones (probably of Brazilian origin), ranging in diameter from about 8mm to 20mm and separated by 32 clear faceted-quartz discs of about 5mm diameter and 2mm thickness, the necklace measures about 400mm (just over 15 inches) in length, but because of the relatively generous stone sizing its maximum wearable neck size is probably about 12mm (1/2 inch) less. It was restrung in the 1990s and retrofitted with a 14K gold "double heart" hook clasp. This is considered a rare find due to the vintage of the citrine and and the high quality of the faceting.
