An antique glass and brass footed box is of French origin, during the late 1800's or early 1900's. It has thick beveled glass, and was a watch holder and later as a jewelry case. It has a threadbare silk lining inside. One corner of the thick glass has a chip, as shown. The inside seems to be missing whatever held the watch in place. The four corner feet are very ornate.
