This beautiful Victorian porcelain figurine depicts a scene from the 1800s. The caption on the base reads "When a man is married his troubles begin". The figurine is made of fine porcelain and features a woman who has just given birth and a nurse at the foot of the bed attending to the baby and the dad, nowhere to be seen. The hand-painted details and glazed finish make this figurine a true work of art. It originates from Germany and was made between 1850-1899. The piece is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The gold painted caption "When a man is married his troubles begin" is light at spots but still is legible.
